I love waking up in a place that looks like heaven, I mean, who doesn’t? And if that place includes a yummy breakfast, it’s like winning the lottery.
Firstly, I must say I never leave the house without eating breakfast, this being probably my most important meal of the day. The same thing applies to my holidays. I usually wake up one hour earlier just to be able to enjoy the first meal of the day in peace. Despite what I said above, I am not a morning person at all, just a breakfast kind of girl. But when I start the day with a killer view, my mood improves dramatically.
Over the years, I had some amazing views for breakfast around the world that is why I want to share them with you. So, here is My Top 10 Breakfasts with a view:
- Jatiluwih, Bali
One of the best mornings of my life started in the middle of the jungle at D’wan Tea Mountain View Villa in Jatiluwih, Bali with a tasty breakfast made only from local products planted by D’wan himself, the owner of the guesthouse and his wife, in the back garden. A breathtaking view in such a peaceful place.
- Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, The French Riviera
My 27th birthday started just perfect: my love and my best friend by my side enjoying the best view of the French Riviera while having a yummy breakfast. My wish for this year already came true!
- Ubud, Bali
Umae Villa in Ubud gave us another morning to remember. Imagine waking up in your very own villa with private pool and having breakfast served by the pool at the hour of your choosing. Can we repeat this experience soon? Pretty please!
- Jambiani, Zanzibar
Nothing better in the morning than a big bowl of fresh exotic fruit and the sound of the ocean. This is how our mornings in Jambiani started for a few days in March this year and I wish I could go back right now! PS: Zanzibar has the tastiest mango ever!
- Marbella, Andalusia
The south of Spain looks amazing in the morning especially if your breakfast has Mediterranean sea view and it is accompanied by some local “cava”, the Spanish prosecco. Should I also mention the delicious “jamon”?
- Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia
I have said it a few times already, but I am sure I was supposed to be born in a tropical country and live in a beach hut. This is what Nusa Lembongan gave me every morning: yummy Balinese breakfast on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. What more could I wish for?
- Adelboden, Switzerland
It is true that I am a beach & summer lover, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like a snowy weekend in the mountains once a year. Especially if we are talking about Switzerland and their delicious cheese. The Cambrian Hotel in Adelboden offered us a breakfast with a view in our very own winter wonderland.
- Bangkok, Thailand
Since I am such a huge fan of sushi, imagine I must include in my top 10 the breakfast I had at Lebua Hotel in Bangkok, the place where they filmed The Hangover 2, where my mornings started with some sushi by the pool. If you are not such a big fan of sushi, don’t worry. They offer such a large variety to choose from, it will be difficult not to taste them all.
- Athens, Greece
The beginning of the year took us in Athens and surprised us with a lovely sunny weather and a delicious sweet breakfast: American pancakes with strawberries, blueberries and Acropolis view! Who would want to be there?
- Koh Samui, Thailand
Since I am an island kind of girl and my dream is to move on a tropical island, I must finish the top with my feet in the sand and salty wind in my hair. This is the reason why the last position goes to Deva Resort in Koh Samui which offers a tasty breakfast directly on the beach. Sounds perfect, don’t you agree?
