Our Dinner Experience at Amvrosia Restaurant in Bansko

As I have already told you in my related post “Weekend Getaway at Premier Luxury Mountain Resort in Bansko, Bulgaria”, if you want to dine in style in Bansko, you have to try Amvrosia Restaurant! You can find this awarded restaurant at the Premier Luxury Mountain Resort, just 700 meters away from the ski lift and I promise you will be delighted with their delicious dishes: salads, cold & hot appetizers, soups, meat & fish main dishes, prime cuts and desserts!

We were welcomed with a surprise dinner courtesy of the chef and we have to say we were impressed both by the dishes and the impeccable serving. Stoyan, our waiter, took good care of us and made us smile the whole time so if you decide to pay them a visit, be sure to say Hi to him from us!

We started with a boost of energy after such a tiring day on the slopes, more exactly with two delicious salads. I almost never brag about a salad, because it usually means something easy to prepare and cannot be out of the ordinary, but this time I have to do it. We obviously chose two different salads and shared them:

         Winter salad (my favorite) – Arugula, roasted cauliflower, maple candied walnuts, baked goat cheese and spinach and

         Vegetables saladMarinated, raw and cooked vegetables with smoked couscous and roasted nuts

The dressing for both salads was amazing, the perfect touch to complete a delicious dish. We didn’t have to add anything: oil, vinegar, salt etc. We just had to enjoy

PS: The dressing was different for each saladJ

For the second course, even though we were already full after eating those gigantic salads, we wanted some meat for energy, but at the same time a lighter dish so we went for Corn fed chicken with roasted carrots and Tandoori sauce.

You won’t believe how much difference there is between the normal chicken, which we can find in shops nowadays, and the corn fed one. Delicious!

I know many of you are waiting for this part and believe me, chocolate lovers, Amvrosia Restaurant won’t let you down!

They surprised us with Passion fruit soufflé which was the perfect mix between chocolate, warm passion fruit sauce and cold vanilla ice cream. Yummy! I don’t usually eat chocolate, but I couldn’t help myself this time. We were full after our dinner, but my fiancé was extremely happy to finish both desserts.

For drinks, we chose sparkling wine which was perfect for starting the dinner and celebrate the special moment and still water since I was dehydrated after my attempt to snowboard during the day.

Here you can find the food menu with ingredients and prices included so you will know exactly what to expect:

·        This time of the year, Amvrosia Restaurant offers a Lunch Menu which means three course meal (appetizer, main course and dessert) for only 40 Bulgarian Lev per persons which means around 20 Eur/person;

·        It is advisable to make reservations ahead if you wish to have lunch or dinner at Amvrosia Restaurant;

·       The restaurant is open from 13:00-0:00 during the winter season. Operation hours in summer and autumn may vary;

·        Last order should be placed until 23:00.

I hope you liked my review for Amvrosia Restaurant and the pictures convinced you to pay it a visit when you get to Bansko! Be sure to send me your experiences around the world in a comment below or on my Instagram account. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them all!

Lots of love,
