As you have probably already seen our last destination was Bansko, Bulgaria for one last winter escape and we had a lovely stay at Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena. The best news for me was that I could eat my favorite food in the world just 2 minutes away from our hotel room, at Sushi Bar & Teppanyaki Grill, so I thought I should share my experience here with you.
The even better news was that this place is more than just a simple sushi restaurant since they also have masters of Teppanyaki ready to entertain you and showcase their cooking skills.
We had a blast at the live cooking show and after that we enjoyed the perfect sushi combinations. We didn’t choose the fixed menus and instead we mixed our own favorites. The result was yummy:
– Deep Fried Eel Tempura with eel, asparagus, cream cheese, tobiko & panko
– Sake Roll Maki with rice, salmon, avocado, philadelphia cheese, ikura & nori
– Thunder Maki Spicy Tuna Roll with rice, spicy tuna, togarashi, Japanese mayo, tabasco, sesame oil, green tobiko & nori
Let’s not forget the dessert – Pineapple flambé with ice cream. You know I am not the biggest fan of desserts, but this one went straight to my heart. Caramelized pineapple with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries – this is perfection for me!
For the best experience, I recommend booking seats at the teppanyaki tables. The show is totally worth it. Before choosing this kind of table though, check the menu and see if you are happy with it. If you are only going to eat sushi, it is better to book a normal table.
If you are curious about the dishes they offer and the prices, have a look at the menu HERE.
